Day Fourteen – Sent Reeling
Don’t read too much into the title–it refers to the reel the chateau prepared to celebrate our residency. You should be able to play it even in you don’t have an Instagram account. In it, you will find me and some of the people I have written about. Check it out:
And this wasn’t the only video short in which I appeared this day. My friend Candace made a short film a year ago and invited me to act in it. I play a doctor. Her trailer for the film is below. Even if you don’t have a YouTube account, you should be able to view it. You can spot me in the trailer as well.
As for writing, it was a good and productive day. I added ten pages to the first draft of “The Dinosaur Thief”–I am now at 50 plus pages. I also brought an old screenplay called “October Suprise.” It’s leftover from my graduate school days and I never really liked it. Using the story analysis technique I learned from Ela Thier, I was able to make some improvements and begin my rewrite. I brought the script and my notes thinking it might be nice if I manage to get to it, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I didn’t. It looks like I will actually have it done before I leave France. Indeed, it appears that everything I brought to revise, along with my list of story ideas, might actually be finished by the end of the residency. I may have to spend the last few days coming up with new things to write about!
As problems go, it’s a pretty good one to have.
Wow. you are so productive! wonderful! thank you for the updates Kevin!❤️
